The Brief

Verena Larcher and Matthias Fahrion run a personal vacation rental business in Oberammergau, Bavaria. Their philosophy: "We don't just rent apartments. We want you to feel truly at home, like with friends." They needed a logo, a brand system, and a full website that carried that warmth from the first click, calm, honest, and inviting, not a hotel brochure. I delivered both the brand identity and a responsive website with interactive features and SEO built in from the start.

What I Learned

The biggest challenge wasn't the code. It was the tone. Hospitality websites fail when they sound like brochures. Every headline and layout decision on this project was filtered through one question: does this feel like a friend recommending a place to stay? Getting that right, while also building a site that's technically solid and SEO ready, was the most valuable thing I took away from this project.
